Found a nice way to collaborate with others: OnTheAir.com
Last week after chatting with Kevin Miller from OnTheAir.com through my OHours.com Friday times, I tried out OnTheAir’s service for having online conversations with other people. Now this service is pretty new and they are working out the blemishes and features but I see this as a great way to stay connected with others online and also a way to meet new people that want to have new conversations with you. Also you can augment other services you use like OHours with OnTheAir. The OnTheAir service is different from services like Skype because people can join your conversation more like a radio talk show than a phone call. So you can set up a time and invite people through Twitter and Facebook and also discover others that you may want to begin conversations or keep in touch with as a group.
How the service works is up to 4 people can chat through their interface as a time while others can listen and keep involved through the text portion of the web app’s UI. I see it as a Fishbowl type of gathering place where you and your friends can have great productive meetings.
I intend to continue to use the OnTheAir.com services and will be posting times I plan on being online to have dialogs with others and also find group conversations with others.
Will follow up with a more detailed overview of OnTheAir.com as I use the app/service more and when they get their features set and out for users to consume more.
